Welcome to Room8
By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to the Room8 app and to the Room8 owner portal (host.room8app.gr).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Room8.

2. User Responsibilities

Provide accurate profile information.

Communicate respectfully with other users.

Do not use Room8 for harassment, spam, or illegal activities.

3. Chats & Favorites

Chat and favorites features are provided for roommate-matching purposes only.

Misuse may result in account suspension.

4. Safety Disclaimer

Room8 only provides a platform for connecting users. We do not verify the identity, background, or character of any users.

We are not responsible for:

• Roomate agreements or rental arrangements
• Offline interactions between users
• User safety or security
• User conduct or behavior
• Financial transactions between users
• Property damage or personal injury

Always meet new people in public places and use caution. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

5. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOM8, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any conduct or content of third parties on the service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the service
• Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted through the service
• Any user interactions, meetings, or agreements
• Any financial losses, scams, or fraud
• Any personal injury or property damage
• Any disputes between users

Room8 is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You acknowledge and agree that you assume full responsibility for your use of the service and any interactions with other users.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app means acceptance of changes.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

• Use the app for dating, romantic relationships, or non-roommate purposes
• Harass, bully, or discriminate against other users
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to scam or defraud other users
• Use fake profiles or impersonate others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Content Guidelines

All content shared on Room8 must be appropriate for a roommate-finding platform. This includes:

• Professional profile photos
• Respectful communication
• Accurate information about living situations
• No explicit, violent, or inappropriate content

10. Reporting and Moderation

Users can report inappropriate behavior through the app. We reserve the right to:

• Review and remove inappropriate content
• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Cooperate with law enforcement when required
